R5: Porsche Carrera Cup Asia – Sepang

October 15, 2026

Marco Giltrap has moved to the top of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia standings after winning two of three races at Sepang International Circuit.

Arriving in Malaysia second in the standings, 70.5 points behind Marcus Amand, Giltrap had a chance to close the gap with Amand absent from the triple-header.

He started the weekend on pole, his first in the series, and led the opening race from the start. He held off Naquib Azlan into the first corners. A midrace safety car bunched the field, but Giltrap kept the lead on the restart and went on to win.

Race 2 was harder. Dylan Pereira took the lead early and built a 3.3-second gap, and Rodrigo Dias Almeida later passed Giltrap for second. Giltrap finished third, cutting his deficit to Amand to 22.5 points.

In the 45-minute enduro, Giltrap started from pole alongside Maceo Capietto. He led into Turn 1, stayed ahead through the first half, and pulled away after the midpoint. He crossed the line 4.5 seconds clear of Capietto for his second win of the weekend.

Giltrap leaves Sepang on 182.5 points, 3.5 ahead of Amand on 179, with one round remaining.
